A team of local residents have been running the Townsend Fridge project located in Townsend Community Centre for over a year.
The Fridge project reduces food waste and also relieves the pressures on household food budgets.
On average each month the team:
– Collects and redistributes over 2 tonnes of food.
– Carries out 75 food pick-ups.
