Driven Forward has changed its usual ways of operating due to Covid 19. The charity has launched a Community Fridge in September 2020 in the community well being hub
The short-dated food that is currently picked up from local supermarkets is now given out for free in the first free UK shop which the charity has just opened on June 7th 20201
This short-dated food which would normally be either given to charities for free, or thrown away and wasted and would end up in landfills, the charity now collects, and it is given to anyone who can use it. We help around 150 people a week ho access the community fridge from the homeless to families and people who have been furloughed who may be struggling financially and or experiencing food poverty and food insecurity.
