North West Leicestershire Children’s Centres have opened a Community Fridge at our Coalville Children and Family Centre! The Community Fridge initiative was started in Swadlincote and now they are opening up around the country. The idea is that shops and individuals can donate unsold but perfectly good food (before its use-by date) that can be used by other people in the community. We aim to help people in need in the Coalville and surrounding area and decrease food waste at the same time. A win-win situation!!
