The EDGE Café is proud to be the first and founding community food hub and community fridge set up in Cambridge City.

We are working in conjunction with Cambridge Sustainable Food, Food Poverty Alliance, FareShare, and Neighbourly as part of their mission to combat hunger and cut down on food waste. Details of other food hubs in the Cambridge area founded as a result of the Covid pandemic can be found here.

Through FareShare and Neighbourly we are allocated daily quantities of food from all of the major supermarkets, and this is weighed and displayed for people to access each day from Monday to Saturday. How much, and what food, varies from day to day.

We encourage the community to use the food hub as a place to donate any unwanted food or cleaning products they may have.
